Sabiya, a remarkable 26-year-old, has transformed her challenging beginnings into a life dedicated to empowering others. Growing up in a family where her father’s alcoholism caused hardship, Sabiya faced adversity from a young age. However, her life took a new direction when, at six years old, she joined the As Our Own family. There, surrounded by love and guidance, she learned values that would shape her future—discipline, gratitude, and compassion.
Despite numerous obstacles during her academic journey, Sabiya’s determination never wavered. After earning her bachelor’s degree in commerce, she pursued an MBA, believing it would open doors to better job opportunities. Juggling a demanding academic schedule, a long commute, and a part-time job, she graduated in 2020. With her MBA in hand, Sabiya rose quickly in the field of investment banking, advancing from Reconciliation Analyst to Senior Analyst and now a Principal Analyst in a Multinational Company.
Sabiya credits her success to the unwavering support of her As Our Own family, whose encouragement helped her overcome her past. Now, as a successful professional, she feels deeply grateful for the love and care that shaped her life.
Inspired by her family and their constant support, Sabiya has chosen to give back.
She has joined her As Our Own sisters in creating the Warrior Fund, which aims to uplift and inspire the next generation, proving that with determination and a supportive family, anyone can overcome hardship and make a lasting impact.
As a Warrior against the limitations of her past, Sabiya’s life is a testament to how determination, hard work, and a desire to help others can transform not just her own life, but the lives of those around her.
